Perbanas Digital Campaign
“Sama Sama Jaga” is an initiative campaign by Perbanas aimed at educating the public about banking data security. Each episode features a testimonial from a former scammer, each with their own area of “expertise.” They share the “successful strategies” they once used to deceive others, but the story ends with a humorous twist: their plan fails because people were looking out for one another.
It’s revealed in the ending that the scammer’s real identity is completely unexpected, adding surprise and delight to the narrative.
Did you know that 99% of banking crimes stem from social engineering?
Social engineering exploits human psychological vulnerabilities like excessive trust, panic, or lack of education about digital security. To advocate the “Sama Sama Jaga” concept, we recommend a reverse psychology approach by letting the audience view things from the scammer’s point of view. By making the criminal the center of the story, we offer a fresh and entertaining lens into the world of scams. Through humor, the scammer’s failure becomes comic relief; making the educational message more relatable, memorable, and easier to accept.
